Emmott Snell Solicitors recently celebrated their 3 year anniversary, Tracey Emmott the founder having brought her practice to her home town Bedford in November 2009. This niche personal injury practice was built on Tracey Emmott's national reputation as a specialist in child abuse civil claims, and has gone from strength to strength, diversifying in 'injury' cases generally including accidents at work and police misconduct actions. In 2010 the firm was awarded a 'legal aid' contract by the Legal Services Commission and also obtained a national quality mark accreditation from the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers. The firm acted for the victim of alleged abuse by a catholic priest at the Court of Appeal in the much publicised landmark victory of ' JGE' v Roman Catholic Portsmouth Diocese' case, where they won an important point of law regarding legal responsibility of those in positions 'akin to employment'. They also won record damages in a High Court case representing a group of a 4 siblings for abuse by their father against Milton Keynes Council in October 2011.

Tracey Emmott, director of the firm, commented 'I couldn't have asked for a better first 3 years in business - I have an excellent team of people committed to fighting for justice and redress arising from a range of situations where people have been wronged. We are delighted to have recently been recognised in an audit by our professional body APIL stating that we have made a 'most valuable contribution to protecting rights of victims and obtaining appropriate redress'. I am pleased to make a contribution to business success in Bedford. Although we have a national reputation I am of the firm belief that we are rooted in our local town first and foremost and wish to serve our Bedford community where we can.'

The firm marked the occasion with a lunch out to Reem, in the High Street.
