We act for two victims who were sexually assaulted whilst resident at St Francis School for Boys, Hooke, Dorset

St Francis School for Boys (now closed) was a boarding school for boys deemed to have educational, emotional or behavioural problems. The school was open from 1946 to 1992 and was run and managed by the Society of Saint Francis.

A police investigation took place in the 1980’s regarding sexual offences against boys by a housefather at the school. It is believed that he was subsequently convicted and left the school under a cloud. Local newspapers also recorded other allegations of abuse against another staff member, although it appears that these were not corroborated.

We continue to gather evidence and would be keen to hear from any person who may corroborate the testimony we have heard so far.

If you were sexually abused whilst a resident at St Francis School for Boys or witnessed others being abused and are willing to support those in their pursuit of justice, please contact me at 01234 360140 or email me at jm@emmottsnell.co.uk
